RE :Bullhead City Allied Cash Advance Store Manager and Employees
Creating a hostile environment, unethical and unprofessional practices
To whom it may concern,
on June 19, a service representative called my house and informed me that my cash advance is overdue and the check bounced due to insufficient funds. Although I/we were already aware of this because of several contacts made by Allied and my wife, she informed me that if I could pay off the advance it would not go to collections. Having already been denied the option to make payments by Saundra earlier in the past week, I informed the service representative that we were expecting our stimulus check this week or early next week and we would be able to take care of it then. She informed me that she could wait until Friday , June 20th before placing the accounts in collections. I fully understood her position and respected it as such. The bottom line, I/we owe you.
After our conversation and later on this same day, June 19, two female employees from Allied came to my wife's place of business and left two envelopes on her counter top. The envelops had your name, Allied Cash Advance, and a green highlighted NSF on the envelop. The two envelops were left out in the open with our names and home address exposed to patrons in a place of business. I find this practice unethical, hostile, unprofessional and puts me and wife at risk because unknown patrons or employees have our home address. Why would you send employees to do such a thing? My position on this practice is that you are sending a hostile message to me and my wife, and you are trying to disrupt our business income by discrediting and intimidating us. Who will you send next? Do you not think things through. If this is normal procedure and protocol, do you not think this tactic and practice could also be unsafe for your employees?. Although we are ethical and professional and have a fair manner in our dealings with this kind of inappropriate behavior, what message are you really sending to your patrons?
Our loans are not connected with our place of employment. We both have communicated and had contact with Allied representatives regarding our financial situations on several occasions. We also tried to resolve this matter by making payments and or explained that we are waiting for money, so we could pay on our loan. I/we understand the accounts will go to collections. We owe you. However, if this is what you need to do, do it. You will not take payments or good faith monies. Don't come to my home, place of business, have me followed or send people looking for me. This is what gangsters do or perhaps in this case “loan sharks”. This is demeaning for business, and promotes hostile and intimidating behavior by your company. Not to mention, our safety.
Look, I can not pay you the monies you have requested at this time. We have communicated to your company on several occasions regarding our financial situation. We are not leaving town nor are we trying to avoid paying our loan. We have a long honest record with your company and have kept our past commitments. I have had problems with your employees in the past, February 2008, but I did not go to your place of business and intimidate, discredit you or the way you conduct business. Nor did I confront your employees in front of your patrons, leave inappropriate personal employee information, become unethical, hostile, demeaning or send people to address this matter during business hours on my behalf. This matter was handled in a professional, ethical, and fair manner by myself and your company.
We are aware of our loan with your company and are committed to taking care of it asap. If this is not enough, I understand that you need to address this matter through collections and or Arizona law. Again, we understand.
However, you need to stop with the harassment, intimidation, unsafe and unethical, demeaning, unprofessional, and hostile behaviors.
Sincerely,
Steve and Lora Bruno1 Service1 Cost4 Timing1 Use Again
